1949 Chevy 3100

This truck was found on a farm in Missouri. It was purchased from the second owner. It is actually a 3600 rather than a 3100.

Owner: Rachel & Rutledge Wood

Vehicle: 1949 Chevy 3100 Pick Up

Description: This truck was found on a farm in Missouri. It was purchased from the second owner. It is actually a 3600 rather than a 3100.

Challenge: Convert this 3600 heavy duty truck into a mind blowing beast so that Rutledge could present it to his lovely wife Rachel. (Rutledge is not allowed any more vehicles, per Rachel). We removed the bed and cab from the frame and installed it onto a 1989 S-10 frame with the help of a kit from E-Z Swaps. The engine is a Blueprint 383 small block Chevy with a 700R4 transmission from Summit Racing backing it up. A Vintage Air system was installed along with a Front Runner Serpentine kit from Vintage Air. Wheels are from Detroit Steel with Coker wide whites. Custom exhaust installed by Exotic Exhaust/Matt Smith, all Stainless Steel with Magna Flow mufflers and Catalytic Converters. So the completed project is badged as a 3100 light duty. Now when Rachel fills it up with top soil or mulch hopefully she won’t over load it!
